Maria Velve is a beauty expert, professional makeup artist, and pro-aging advocate who is redefining what beauty looks and feels like for women over 40. With over twenty years of experience and a deep commitment to empowering women through self-expression, she helps clients simplify their beauty routines, boost confidence, and embrace their age with pride.
Her journey into beauty began with a Makeup Diploma in Theatre, TV, and Special Effects from the Blanche Macdonald Institute in Vancouver, where she honed her skills in creating transformative, camera-ready looks. That foundation gave her not only technical expertise but a deep appreciation for the power of makeup as storytelling.
Complementing her creative background, she also holds a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from York University—a unique blend of communication and artistry that allows her to connect meaningfully with diverse women, understand their needs, and translate beauty into a language that feels personal and empowering.
Today, she focuses her work on age-inclusive beauty education, offering services and speaking engagements that center on skincare in menopause, makeup for mature skin, and mindful beauty rituals. Her mission is simple but powerful: to help women feel seen, celebrated, and confident—without chasing youth or perfection.
