5 Face Oils That Transform Mature Skin: Nourish, Hydrate & Glow Naturally

The best face oils for mature skin

I’m a big believer in the power of face oils for mature skin, especially for women over 40. These natural oils deliver deep, lasting moisture and replenish essential fatty acids that keep your skin smooth, supple, and radiant. They help strengthen the skin barrier by locking in hydration and protecting it from environmental stressors — the “good stuff” stays in, and the “bad stuff” stays out. Over the years, I’ve shared several videos on oil cleansing and the benefits of clean beauty face oils, particularly as the weather cools down. If you’re ready to update your skincare routine for fall, switching to an oil cleanser is a great place to start. You can also explore my blog, 3 Cooler Weather Skincare Products to Switch to for Fall,” for more seasonal skincare inspiration.

Today, it’s encouraging to see more people — and the beauty industry — finally embrace the truth: our skin needs natural oils to stay healthy and glowing. Even if you’ve hesitated to try oils because of oily or acne-prone skin, the right ones can actually bring your complexion back into balance. I’ve rounded up five of my favourite clean beauty oils that truly benefit mature skin — gentle, nourishing, and effective for all skin types.

How to start using a face oil on mature skin

There are some lovely Canadian companies that use the power of oils in their skin care products. I wouldn’t encourage you to go and stock up on these if you haven’t used a face oil for hydration before.  Start slow.  Choose an oil which is NOT blended with other oils or essential oils to start.  This way you can really see if it benefits your skin or if you’d be better off with another oil.  Your local health food store will have lots of options.  Always go with organic, cold-pressed and unrefined, so the oil’s chemical compounds are not altered.  Once you’ve incorporated an oil into your beauty regimen and seen the benefits, I know you’ll be hooked.  At that point, you can treat yourself to a higher quality oil blend which includes essential oils that you’ll enjoy using daily.

The best face oils for mature skin that I’ve listed here can be used as moisturizers and cleansers.  All oils will remove dirt and makeup from your face like a dream.  They can all be used as treatments and moisturizers, but each comes with its own list of benefits.  So, how do you use face oils for hydration?  Read on to find the best face oil that matches your skincare concerns at this stage of your life.
